After getting the solar panels installed it just happened to be the weekend of Labor Day. I do not drive on holidays and always make sure I have reservations for a campground as many people use the holiday to go camping. I made reservations at a campground in Eugene, OR which is only a few miles from Springfield.
I was hoping I could see a little of Eugene while there, but things didn’t work out. It rained much of the time and I didn’t want to get out the weekend of Labor Day as everything was really crowded. The couple of days I could have gotten out it poured and I would rather not drive the rig in rain. I didn’t take any pics while there.
From Eugene I drove to Klamath Falls, OR where I only stayed 1 night. I drove from Oregon through parts of California and then into Nevada. Then off to Fernley, NV, which is just outside of Reno where I also only stayed 1 night. The only pics I took was while driving. It is pretty flat and straight driving out in the California and Nevada deserts.
Here I am crossing into Nevada from California.
I took a break at a truck stop and got this pic of a long line of telephone poles that disappeared into nowhere.
This is a pic of “The Breeze” taking a break after a long hot drive.
Then on to a place called Beatty, NV for another 1 nighter. It was a lot of driving but I wanted to get to my brother-in-law’s brother Bill who lived in Bullhead City, AZ. He and I go back a long way and it will be nice to see him and his dog Blaze.
