Wrapping up Visit With Family

I wrapped up my visit with my son and grandkids on Sunday 6/26.  We decided to go to Putt-Putt (the kids called it Butt-Butt) and have some fun.  Here a pic taken of Garrett and Eric on the Putt-Putt course.  It was really fun.

Garrett teeing off.

Rachael ready to hit a “hole in one”!

After the final hole.

We won some tokens and bought other tokens so we could play with the pin ball machines.  How fun is that!!  Playing “Deal or No Deal”.  We divided up all the tokens and each of them had fun playing different games.

The kids put all their winning tokens together and surprised Grandpa with several gifts.  That was so nice of them?  They were always thinking of me and I am so lucky to have such caring grandkids.  We all went back to my rig and had a fun time talking, laughing, playing with puzzles, and goofing off.  Rachael is goofing off here.  I loved it.

All three of them on my couch.

Rachael explaining how to put together the puzzle they all gave me.

DA DA!!!  She put it together in no time flat.

DUH!!  Why couldn’t I figure that out?

Here she is putting her leg behind her head.  I tried it after they left and could not even come close to performing this stunt.  You don’t think age has anything to do with this do you?

My time with my son and grandkids is over for this year.  I have been here over a month excluding the time I spent flying to CA.  I really enjoyed my visit despite the hot weather.  I promised them I would return next year when it was much cooler and we could do more outside activities.  Maybe in the Fall.

Although I have been here over a month it seemed like just yesterday when I arrived.

Thanks Curt, Garrett, Eric and Rachael.  You guys are the greatest!!!!!

  1. It’s a good thing you didn’t manage to get your leg behind your head Jim – you would have had to call 9-1-1 to have them get it back in the correct position! : ) I always get a little nervous when my grandkids say “grandpa, can you do THIS?”
Glad you got to spend all that time with them.

  2. Soooooooooooooo glad you could spend time with your family, Jim. That is what life is all about! Looked like you all had a blast. Yes, a repeat in the 2012 cool fall is a great plan!
